Foiltone was the first supplier of cold foiling systems for retrofit to printing presses, and has unmatched levels of expertise in the field.

Foiltone cold foiling systems run at press speed, with full register, and with minimum impact on the host press. When the foiling is not needed the press retains its full capability.

Whether in-line, on a multi station press (6 colour or more) which allows for immediate over-printing of the foil, or on a 2 colour press where the printing will be a second pass, the Foiltone system gives the printer the capability to print special effects and foiled finishes in an economical and efficient process that is quick to install and to master.

COLD FOILING

Cold Foiling is the application a metallic foil to a sheet on a Printing press.Two towers of a lithographic press are used. On the first the adhesive is printed onto the substrate with a standard lithographic plate in the pattern desired.

CAST AND CURE

The Cast and Cure holographic effect is achieved with a lithographic printing process utilizing UV technology and a nano-embossed casting film .

Cast and Cure was first introduced in the 1990’s as an off-line process and was later developed as an in-line process by Foiltone Ltd.
